Swatch FIVB World Tour 2009 - Sanya Open - Europe rules the Men Podium

La tête de série n°1 a été au bout de la logique puisque les néerlandais ont remporté aujourd'hui la dernière étape masculine du Swatch FIVB World Tour à Sanya.

Reinder Nummerdor et Richard Schuil remporte ainsi leur 3ème tournoi de la saison et confirme leur place dans le classement mondial. Cette finale ils la remportent haut la main en battant les chinois Wu - Xu en 35 mn (21-13 21-14).

Pour le bronze ce sont les espagnols Adrian Gavira et Pablo Herrera qui prennent le dessus sur les russes Prokopiev - Bogatov qui après avoir surpris tout le monde en arrivant en demi finale se sont positionnés en favori dans le carré final. Russes qui ont d'ailleurs donné beaucoup de mal aux espagnols surtout avec une présence au Block imposante de Yuri Bogatov et des défenses spectaculaires de Sergei Prokopiev. Voilà des jeunes russes, 23 ans chacun, qui n'ont pas fini de bousculer leurs aînés.

Pablo Herrera et Adrian Gavira réussissent ainsi leur 5ème podium en 11 tournois joués ensemble et surtout ils terminent 3ème du Swatch FIVB World Tour 2009 devant.... Nummerdor - Schuil.

Décidemment les équipes européennes réussissent une bonne année puisque 7 équipes européennes se classent dans les 10 premières équipes mondiales dont 2 équipes allemandes, 1 espagnole, 1 suisse, 1 néerlandaise, 1 estonienne et 1 russe.

The top seeded n°1 was at the end the champion since the Dutch team won today the last men stage of the Swatch FIVB World Tour in Sanya.

Reinder Nummerdor and Richard Schuil thus gain to them 3rd tournament of the season and confirm their place in the world ranking.

This finale they won it easily by beating the Chinese Wu - Xu team in 35 mn (21-13 21-14).

For bronze it is the Spanish Adrian Gavira and Pablo Herrera which take the top on Russian Prokopiev - Bogatov which after having surprised everyone while arriving in semi finale positioned in favourite in the final square.

Russians who have elsewhere given much evil to Spanish especially with an imposing presence with the Block of Yuri Bogatov and spectacular defenses of Sergei Prokopiev.

Here are young Russian, 23 years each one, which did not finish hustling their elder.

Pablo Herrera and Adrian Gavira thus make a success of 5th podium in 11 tournaments played together and especially they finish 3rd of Swatch FIVB World Tour 2009 before... Nummerdor - Schuil.

Definitely the European teams make a success of one happy new year since 7 European teams are classified in the first 10 world teams including 2 German teams, 1 Spanish, 1 Switzerland, 1 Dutchwoman, 1 Estonian and 1 Russian.
