One of the famous Grand Slam of the Swatch FIVB World tour takes place in the center of the swiss alps, precisely in Gstaad one of the famous ski station in the World.

The first games of the Main Draw was played by the women with no big surprise. The top seeded teams won their games but we have to note that the czech team Klapalova-Hajeckova continue their progress by winning their 2 matchs.
To note also the excellent game beetween the spaniard team Baquerizo-Fernandez Steiner and the US Turner-Akers won by the american team but after a very disputed match (18-21, 21-18, 15-11).
At the men tournament the Ces Brothers finally qualified for the Main draw by winning against austrian and Venezuelan teams. Other big teams qualified are Mesa-Lario (ESP), Marcio-Ricardo (BRA) and Fuerbringer-Lucena (USA).
