Swatch FIVB World Tour 2008 - Phuket - Who is the Boss with Ross in Thailand ???

C'est fait Jenifer Boss et April Ross ont concrétisé leur excellent parcours, justifiant ainsi leur statut de favori dans cet avant dernier tournoi du Swatch FIVB Beach Volleyball World Tour 2008.

Même si elles ont gagné à 4 reprises 2-1 (sur 6 matchs), elles ont démontrés une combativité à toute épreuve qui a fait leur réputation dans le circuit pro américain, l'AVP Crocs Tour.

Leur match le plus dure ne fut pas la finale, même si Nicole Branagh et Tyra Turner (USA) ne leur ont pas facilité la tâche, mais le match du 3ème tour face aux soeurs Schwaiger. Les autrichiennes ont fait un très bon match en défense, avec une Doris Schwaiger bondissante ne ratant aucun dig.

Avec cette victoire, les américaines auront pu monter sur les différentes marches du podium cette saison avec une 3ème place à Stavanger, une 2ème place à Dubai et enfin la 1ère place ici. 

Sur la petite finale les allemandes Anja Gunther-Geeske Banck prennent leur revanche sur les australiennes Tamsin Barnett-Becchara Palmer, qui les avaient au 4ème tour, en gagnant 2-0 (21-14 21-18) en 43mn. A noter l'excellent match d'Anja Gunther au block et au service.

Their match hardest was not the final, even if Nicole Branagh and Tyra Turner (USA) did not facilitate the task to them, but the match of the 3rd round against the Schwaiger sisters. The Austrian ones made a very good match in defense, with a leaping Schwaiger Doris not missing any dig.

With this victory, American will have been able to go up on the various steps of the podium this season with one 3rd place in Stavanger, one 2nd place in Dubai and finally the 1st place here.
