Swatch FIVB World Tour - A1 Grand slam - Klagenfurt - Phil Dalhausser & Todd Rogers keep the Gold

Encore une très belle fête à Klagenfurt qui devient le temps d'une semaine le temple du Beach Volleyball mondial qui mêle ambiance et très beau jeu.

Dans le tournoi féminin Larissa & Juliana ont enfin repris les choses en main et après un passage à vide à Marseille, où elles avaient perdu contre les mexicaines Candelas - Garcia au 2ème tour, les voilà à la première place après avoir battu facilement les américaines Nicole Branagh - Elaine Youngs 2-0 (21-12 21-15).

La belle surprise vient d'une équipe autrichienne qui a su tout donner à chaque match pour finir finalement 4ème. Grâce à une Sara Montagnolli très solide en défense, Barbara Hansel a su aussi se transcender et battre les brésiliennes Talita - Maria Elisa pour atteindre le carré final.

Pour la 3ème place les américaines Jennifer Kessy - April Ross ont réussi à gérer les 2 équipes contre qui elles jouaient, Sara - Barbara et le public, pour monter sur le podium.

A noter que grâce à sa superbe prestation lors de chaque match Sara Montagnolli a été devient Most Oustanding Player.

Chez les hommes Phil Dalhausser et Todd Rogers ont tenu bon face à Harley - Alison pour conserver leur médaille d'Or gagné lors du World series 13 à Marseille la semaine dernière.

Il faut dire qu'Harley et Alison avaient à coeur d'effacer leur mauvais souvenir de Marseille où ils s'étaient fait sortir par les espagnols Pablo Herrera - Adrian Gavira. Chose faite puisqu'une semaine après les voilà en finale d'un autre grand Chelem et en prime ils reprennent la tête du Swatch FIVB World Tour.

Lors de la finale on a encore assisté à un duel de titans au filet entre Phil Dalhausser et Alison les 2 géants du tournoi au physique totalement différent ainsi qu'un festival de défense avec Todd Rogers et Harley qui avec des styles différents ont été d'une efficacité proche du "0" défaut.

In the Women tournament Larissa & Juliana finally took again the things in hand and after a bad patch in Marseilles, where they had lost against Mexican Candelas - Garcia in the 2nd round, here they are in the first place after having beaten easily American Nicole Branagh - Elaine Youngs 2-0 (21-12 21-15).

The beautiful surprise comes from the Austrian team which knew all to give to each match to finish finally 4th. Thanks to very solid Sara Montagnolli in defense, Barbara Hansel also knew to transcend and beat Brazilian Talita - Maria Elisa to reach the final four.

For the 3rd place American Jennifer Kessy - April Ross succeeded in managing the 2 teams against which they played, Sara - Barbara and public, to go up on the podium.
