AVP Nivea Tour 2010 - Fort Lauderdale - A big starter Beach Volleyball event

Pendant 3 jours l'AVP Nivea Tour sera à Fort Lauderdale. Nick Lucena natif de cette ville sera certainement soutenu par le public et cherchera sûrement à donner le meilleur de lui pour ce 1er événement de la saison 2010.

3 jours de Beach Volleyball Show comprendra les matchs de qualifications, la journée de main draw et celle des finales hommes et femmes.

Les meilleures équipes du circuit seront présents mais il faut toutefois noter quelques petits changements d'équipes dans les têtes de séries.

Tout d'abord avec le grand retour de la médaillée d'Or Olympique Misty May qui n'avait pas joué depuis les Jeux Olympiques. Sa reprise elle ne la fera pas avec sa partenaire habituelle et Championne Olympique Kerri Walsh qui après avoir eu un premier enfant enchaîne avec un deuxième enfant. En fait elle a proposé à Nicole Branagh, qui s'est imposé ces dernières années comme l'une des meilleures joueuses du circuit et qui jouait avec Elaine Youngs, de faire cette saison avec elle. Nicole n'a évidemment pas resisté à cette proposition.

A noter que cette année les brésiliennes Priscilla Lima et Tatiana Minello se retrouvent, grâce à leur excellente saison 2009, têtes de séries N°3.

Ce changement a des conséquences puisque Elaine Youngs sans partenaire à décider de reformer son partenariat avec Rachel Wacholder (avec qui elle jouait il y a 2 saisons) alors qu'elles ne s'étaient pas vraiment quittés en bon termes.

Côté hommes le plus grand changement vient de Matt Fuerbringer et Casey Jennings qui ne joueront plus ensemble puisque cette saison The Fuerbs jouera avec le natif de Fort lauderdale Nick Lucena et que Casey jouera avec un autre gros joueur du circuit pro américain : Brad Keenan (partenaire de Nick Lucena en 2009).

For 3 days the AVP Nivea tour is taking place in Fort Lauderdale. Ft. Lauderdale native Nick Lucena will certainly have the hometown crowd on his side as he looks to capture the first event of the 2010 season.

The 3 day Beach Volleyball show will consist of male and female qualifiers, draws, and final games.

The best teams of the circuit will be present but some small changes should however be noted for some Top seeded teams.

First with the great return of the Olympic Gold medallist Misty May which had not played since the Olympic Games. Its recovery it will not do it with its usual partner and Olympic champion Kerri Walsh who after having had a first child she's pregnant again.

In fact she proposed to Nicole Branagh, who is imposed these last years like one of the best players of the circuit and which played with Elaine Youngs, to make this season with it. Nicole obviously did not resist this proposal.

This change has consequences since Elaine Youngs without partner to decide to then reform her partnership with Rachel Wacholder (with which she played 2 seasons ago) they were not really left in good terms.

It should be noted that this year Brazilian Priscilla Lima and Tatiana Minello are found, thanks to their excellent season 2009, N°3 top seeded.

In the men tournament, the greatest change comes from Matt Fuerbringer and Casey Jennings which will not play together any more since this season The Fuerbs will play with the native of Fort lauderdale Nick Lucena and that Casey will play with another large player of the American pro tour: Brad Keenan (partner of Nick Lucena in 2009).
